Site Registration Purpose and Contact Form Details

There is currently no intent to send anything to your email address apart from the login details and deal with any matters or business arising.

By registering with the site or by submitting information via the contact page you are giving permission for Noyo to contact you via any details provided, should we wish to do so.

Sending a message via the Contact page does not register you or subscribe you to anything.

Privacy Policy including Email Address

Personal or other registration details will never be sold on or given to any third party unless required by law or is required in order to progress any agreed transactions.

Every effort is made to maintain the security of this website and the data stored on it (not least for the sake of the site) but no liability can be accepted should any violation occur.

Newsletter Registration

There is currently no newsletter sent out but it may be something which could be done at some time in the future.

In registering for the site you are giving permission to be contacted with an invitation to receive a newsletter which would require your agreement using a “double opt in” system that would obtain your permission to be included in a newsletter/mailing list. This system would allow you to ignore or delete the invitation and if subscribed to unsubscribe at a later date if desired. I haven’t done a newsletter so this may never be on this website.

Registration Cancellation

The software does not provide an automatic way to cancel registration but legitimate requests made to delete a user via the contact page would be honoured.

Moderation

Comments or other materials submitted as potential site content are moderated and we reserve the right to publish them in part, whole or not at all, entirely at our own discretion, without obligation or explanation.

No SPAM please

Do not send unsolicited advertising, aka SPAM to this website via any channel. It just wastes everyone’s time as it will be deleted outright and certainly not published.

Photography Policy

There is generally no law against photographing people, property or anything else in public places within the UK, unless it can be shown there is intent to use the images for malicious or criminal activity.

There is also no law that would prevent publication of photographs by the media.

Exceptions to these might be where there is a national security concern or where an interdict has been issued on behalf of a person. Unless there are legal signs up prohibiting photography or the existence of an interdict has been made clear, there is no prohibition to take photographs in any place accessible by the public and anything is technically “fair game”.

People have a reasonable right to privacy in their own homes or private places and we seek to respect that. Political correctness indicates it is unwise to engage in any activity that would constitute harassment or photograph minors without parental consent, especially around schools or other play areas.

Recognisable images of people can only be used for commercial purposes where written permission or a “model release” has been obtained so as a general rule we normally attempt to minimise the inclusion of people within photographs as it restricts how they may be used.

In the process of shooting in public places or at events that are open to the public, it is frequently extremely difficult or impossible to entirely eliminate people from all photographs. While in such cases these would not be used as commercial images, this website as a digital media publication may use photographs where people are incidental to the prime subject or purpose of the image, just as any newspaper or magazine would.

Photographs of performers or people involved in newsworthy situations are legitimate subjects for inclusion.

Having said all that, should there be any photographic or other content published on this website that you consider inappropriate, inaccurate, misleading, misrepresentative or unfair in some way, please get in touch via the “contact” page and make it known. If you can make a good reasoned argument, it will at least be considered.
